1.Société Civile Immobilière (SCI)
 Non trading or asset holding company

All "Sociétés Civiles" must be registered on the Special Register of  "Sociétés Civiles" and are often formed to hold property. They may not undertake conventional trading or commercial activities. Their capital is not limited. The natural or corporate persons managing the company are not obliged to be partners.  Registration is not subject to authorization by the Monegasque government nor is publication in the Journal of Monaco required.  There are no requirements to file financial statements at the Trade Registry ("Répertoire du Commerce et de l'Industrie").

Incorporation requirements

The following documents need to be submitted to the Department of Economic Development ("Direction de l'Expansion Economique") and signed by the Managing Director :

- A copy of the articles of association duly registered at the Fiscal Department ("Direction des Services Fiscaux") ;

- The registration forms containing details of civil status and a description of the company's registered office, which must be situated in Monaco.

-A copy of the identity card of the Managing Director.
